Modern
weapons are designed to deliver a large amount of force to a target at
a great
distance. To do this engineers have needed in-depth knowledge of
physics to do
so.
Hand held weapons are often rated with certain
amounts of
stopping power, and range. Stopping power is a measurement of how well
a weapon
is at neutralizing a combatant, so that they are no longer threat.
While the
range is the distance at which the stopping power can be delivered.
